Problem:
A mechanical conveying system with hinged-plate sections was causing problems for George K. Garrett Company in Ellwood City PA, USA. Hard abrasive scale worked into the belt, roller chains and other moving parts of the conveyor, resulting in the need for frequent replacement.

Permanent Magnetic Chip & Parts Conveyors proved to be the solution. The washers were conveyed along a nonmagnetic stainless steel slider plate, while all moving parts (except for the drive system) were enclosed within a watertight housing.
